Transcendental Meditation means to saturate the mind with happiness, with bliss. A mantra is used to declutter the mind, then any coarseness of the mantra itself as a thought is diminished in meditation. The natural state of bliss is revealed as ‘unbounded awareness.’

Our journey goes from the coarse thought of happiness, to the more subtle thought of the mantra, to the very subtle experience of the mantra, culminating in the most subtle experience of direct joy, bliss, and happiness. This is the mind’s true nature. This soaks the mind in prajna, clear seeing, vitality, energy, joy, bliss and happiness.

  • I fell asleep more easily

I find the structure of the meditation, while pleasing, to have little to grasp onto. This leaves us with a difficult time to connect the meditation to our life. I suppose there is some leakage from the bliss of the meditation into one’s day, but I would prefer some additional meditative forms as a bridge to daily life.
